first gig

It turned out so much better than we thought. Pick An Exit was awesome and the concert went great :) Here's some pictures:

Elks Lodge...

Ok, so as you might know, we have a gig at this place called the Elks Lodge and we're opening for a band called Pick An Exit. So I (Ashley), went to see the place we're going to be performing @ this Thursday. So I get there, and theres only about 6 parking spots, so I was like wow, okay that's weird. So I walk into the building that looks terribly old, with the strongest old people smell i've smelled in my entire life, to find only 4 people, two of which work there... and I'm like wheres the stage area? So a man led me to the back room where there was not really a stage, but this area that couldn't be larger than my kitchen table. I'm still trying to figure how they plan on having a drum set & piano on it. But he's like why do you need to see this room, and i'm like well my friend and I are opening for Pick An Exit, and the guy had no idea what-so-ever what I was talking about. Anyways, so I called Alexa and was like whatever we can just make fun of this, take it as a joke, and in the words of Alexa, "We could make fun of it when we're performing at larger places, but as of now, because this is all we can get, we shouldn't be making fun of it." hahah Amen to that. -Ashley & Alexa

Hey everyone, It's Alexa and I'm not in the best mood ever because tomorrow we have...I can't even say it...we...have...SCHOOL! I'm dreading it so much you don't even know. Well you probably do because you have school tomorrow also. Ashley wants me to post something from her but first, here's my drawing of the beautiful Joe Jonas. Keep in mind I have no drawing ability whatsoever:

Hey it's Ashley. I went to bed last night at 7 this morning so don't mind me being cranky. As of now, we have the concert in 11 days and we have yet to meet with our backup guitarist or drummer, a. k. a. we're totally unprepared and going to suck. Hahah in good news, there's scheduled to be a diabetes benefit concert in September here in Florida, and if the concert becomes 100% happening, we would be opening for the JONAS BROTHERS. How sick would that be?! I really hope that happens. Oh and there's a possibility that our guitarist Tommy Thomas is comming to visit and record with us next week, which means we could try and get our demo together! Well, winter break is over and school starts up tomorrow, which sucks, I'm totally not looking forward to exams. Well, Desperate Housewives is on, so we'll be back on this later!

I think Ash pretty much summed everything up, so goodnight everybody!

Reunited, and it feels so good.

Hahah hey guys, Alexa just got back from Mexico and she's sleeping over tonighttttt :) We are patiently waiting for the new JB tour dates to be posted. We also just did a cover of the song Year 3000 by the Jonas Brothers, so here's the video, watch it please!

Hey guys, this is my first time writing in this little schnazzy thing, it's pretty cool. So you probably wanna know about my trip to Mexico. Just kidding, you probably couldn't care less but I'm gonna tell you anyway! I went to Cancun [accent on the u that I can't do...] and it was lots of fun. Except the food sucked, I got really badly sunburned, and there were only about 4 channels on TV and they were all in Spanish. I went parasailing, banana boating, and I slept a lot. And that's pretty much all I did. I'm glad to be back home though and sleep in my nice cozy bed. Oh yeah, the beds there I'm pretty sure must have been made of rocks. Anyway, we finished up two more songs and once we actually find a legit recording studio, we will put them up on our myspace music =]
